Very sad to read this thread about Greek Options

Returned from staying at the Trochalo late September and made a provisional booking for September 2013 with GO for the same property the day after we returned.

Telephoned Sunvil yesterday to be advised that our provisional reservation had been 'transferred' and was on their books.

Hope this is useful to anyone in a similar predicament and would certainly advise they contact Sunvil.

Sad news about Greek Options and best wishes to Jacinthe and all at Thomeas travel for the future. Reckon they were squeezed by the recession, which is one reason we didn't make it this or last year, and the dearth of seats on airlines you could trust to run for more than one season, which was one factor that sent us back to Parga. Sunvil have had their share of airline problems too, as they usually used same flights as GO. Shame that the easyJet decision has come too late, as perhgaps that could have been a way forward for GO. I know we booked accommodation on Paxos through GO and an easyJet flight a few years ago, and had a fine time.

Very sad about Greek Options. We have been in touch via e mail with Thomasea Travel about our May hol to Stoupa. They can do the package we would have booked with Greek Options. The only differance is because of the mad price Thomas Cook want for the flight we would have to fly Easy Jet from Manchester to Athens. Thomasea would arrange everything including the taxi transfer from Athens to Stoupa. They have quoted what we feel is a very reasonable price. So if we can get my partners hip sorted in time we will be there in May :D
Does anyone know why Greek Options stopped trading? Was it financial or did it just get to be too muh hassel to deal with Thomas Cook and the other here today gone tomorrow airlines that fly to Kalamata????

Greek Options have stopped trading, they traveled not just to Kalamata, but to other parts of Greece. So read into that what you will. I believe that they did what they needed to do, and no GO customers have been left stranded abroad, so hats off to them...

I am pleased to confirm that Sunvil will be featuring the following former Greek Options properties for 2013.

Amalia Apts - Anastasia Apts - Lida Cottage - Marguerita Cottage - Nikos Apts - Villa Theoni - Trochalo Villas.

We are still in the process of finalising prices, but if you would like to reserve a property please call our reservations team on 020 8758 4758 or email greece@sunvil.co.uk.

We are also pleased to confirm that we have contracted a new carrier for flights to Kalamata for summer 2013.

Germania, a German carrier will be flying on our behalf every Sunday from London Gatwick. This flight will operate from 26 May through to 13 October and for customers booking a Sunvil Package flights will include hot meal and 20kg of baggage. The Germania aircraft will be a 737-700 aircraft with 148 seats, built in 1998 – It is a nice aircraft with a quality on-board product. We will also be selling flight seats, for prices and availability please email flights@sunvil.co.uk.

We are currently looking at options for early season flights.

Flights from Manchester will be operated by Thomas Cook 05 May through to 06 October.

This is fantastic for the village of Stoupa and surrounding area. Good news at last. Well done Sunvil.
