Well the latest news looks good if your a UK citizen living abroad already....
As I predicted the latest joint EU/UK document on the Brexit talks says that citizens who live in another EU country on the day the UK leaves will be eligible for healthcare reimbursement, including under the EHIC scheme.
This includes citizens who work or study in another country or are retired there.
However if you have not yet declared residency in your chosen country now is the time to consider it as
no agreement has been reached on whether EHIC would be available to those who travel to, or go to live in, another EU country after the UK has left the bloc.
