€6m Euro project - but not on what you would expect!

Post by The Real Stoupaman »

Bypass for Kambos and Stavropigio approved but delayed: As part of the improvement of the provincial road Kalamata to Ag Nikolaos, approval has been given for a new segment of road (bypass). The construction budget is estimated to be 6,000,000 euro. This stretch of road has a total length of 3 km and will be reduced to 2 kilometers. It will start near the turning to Santova. However planning has been delayed as quite a high amount is required to build it, and it was not included in the funding programs of the NSRF(07-13). It is not clear yet whether the whole project will be included in funding for the next programming period, or if it will be split . Tharros (22-7-14)

Now....................can anyone else think of other uses that €6m euro's could be better spent on???
Answers on the back of a postage stamp, please.

Well I quite like driving through Kambos and Stavropigio. Now a flyover from Stavropigio to Kardymili, that would be good :D
