Greek night at home

Post by Dawn » Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:13 pm

Making the most of the great weather, we've just eaten outside and had sardines cooked on one of those disposable bbqs, with Greek salad Cretan style (with some of those little rusk breads, that I've had a packet of for a while), and some very nice chilled wine. Bliss. But I can't wait to be eating something similar in Greece in less than 4 weeks now...

And we did it again last night, had a Greek night that is, not the BBQ this time. We had friends over, that we're holidaying with in Thassos in July. I did a meze to start - tzaziki, aubergine dip, spanokapita, gigantes and some sour dough bread - then stifado, vegetarian stuffed aubergine, lemon potatoes, and Greek salad for main course, and finally apple baklava and figs baked with honey and almonds for pudding. All home made, except for the bread.

Aw thanks Mel
I haven't been on here for ages, too busy with work (and, ok, fitted in 2 holidays during the time too!). How was Stoupa this time around? I've been catching up on posts, you had a holiday, didn't have a holiday, then had one - hurrah!
