Would you say that the water is OK if it is boiled, ie to make tea or coffee? :?

Yes, boiling will kill all bacteria, if you can run the water through a filter jug or even a paper coffee filter so much the better as this will remove the small sand and grit particles.

I have used for standpipe water for drinking, making tea/coffee etc during our last two visits without problems. Also on our one holiday in Stoupa. I understand it is from natural springs.

I have a very delicate constitution - so if I survived it then I suspect most people will.

Tour reps have always said it is OK to drink it too.

But certainly avoid the normal tap water for everything except washing.
