Well you never know when you might need these things so all suggestions are a great help. I once got badly burned in Greece and got the best aftersun cream from a pharmacy. I think it was called Biopanthenol. My skin healed wonderfully. I've never got anything as good in the UK. Also in France they produce an antibiotic cream which my husband got for a badly infected bite. It calmed the whole leg down withing 24 hours. Those sorts of things can mean the difference between a recovery or a ruined holiday.

I've had that too from a little pharmacy in Kalamata a few years back - very soothing for heat rash and sunburn. I think it's actually called Bepanthol - or something like that, and it is now available in the UK - I'm sure I've seen it advertised on the telly. :D

Talking of pharmacies and the like I suppose I'd better raise the age old problem of mozzies. I expect in July they must be a real problem but I have noticed that certain places get more plagued than others. Anyone know if the Litza apartments is one of these places? I have stayed in hotels before and rarely seen them up on a balcony yet gone elsewhere and been surrounded by them. I buy Jungle formula spray containing 50% Deet but I hate it. It makes you smell awful and makes me wheeze a bit when putting in on.
