Sardine Festival
Does anyone know anything about this - what form it takes, what time it starts etc? Don't want to get there late and find all sardines eaten!

Beat me to it Holmes ! The harbour is bedecked with bunting and hopefully the JCB on the slipway will be gone soon.
Not at all sure where the sardines are involved, but there was an amusing article in this morning's Mail on Line, where a Polish lorry driver forgot to shut the back doors and dumped 20 tonnes of sardines on the highway.
More worrying is the rumour that "Bandit" is planning to sail over and display his tackle.

Re: Sardine Festival
As the dates for the last two years have been the third Saturday in July, I guess it will be Saturday 20th July. If you enjoy sardines and greek music and dancing then you will have a great time.

There is every chance I will be there at the Quay side, with all my tackle out and my sturdy rod in hand, just waiting for a nibble...You never know I might get lucky this time of year...the reiver wrote:
