Swimming Pools

Post by Silver-Fox » Wed Mar 14, 2018 4:15 pm

I know the Lefktron Hotel charge €4 per person, per day for Non-Residents to use their pool area but does anybody know if any other places allow them ?
Thanks,
Dave.

The kolokotronis just behind the older super charge per day don’t know how much but a bit of a walk, and there’s the Taletos not far from Leftron never seen any notice of charges there George’s do not let non residents in

Thanks cav-gas. We stayed at the Lefktron on our previous two Stoupa holidays but the price for 2019 has gone up with a bang to more than our budget so we've booked elsewhere. Personally I don't mind the beach and will be more than happy nipping across to Stekis for a cool one but the Gaffer normally prefers more "pool" days than "beach" days.

Hi Ron 1, yes 2019. Got £200 off for booking so early.

You can use the Aphrodite pool as long as you buy a drink or a snack.

Thanks Lilian that's nice to know. We actually looked at staying at the Aphrodite (and other places with pools like Georges and the Lefktron) but unfortunately they were also above our budget. I asked them when they would know what their 2019 rates would be so we could investigate travelling independently and they said to contact them again in September so we eliminated them and booked Villa Kosta.

From a legal point of view, Georges is correct in what it does with regards pools. The pool changes it use critiera, from a pool for residents to a public use pool.
So expect some of the owners to start refusing non residents to use the pool. It may invalidate their insurance.

Thanks ADI, we've been to many Greek destinations over the years and while as you say the legality of their policy could be in question insurance-wise the fact is most places usually allow Non-Residents to use their facilities providing they buy drinks or snacks while they're there. We'll have to call in for drinks while we're there and find out who allows what but it's not really a problem.

On a positive note, Thomas Cook independant health & safety people were here last year checking pools (as well everything else). They were going through them with a fine tooth comb !!!! And the people knew what they were talking about........(even making sure that MSDS were on site)
