Greek week at Lidl

Post by bsamways » Sat Apr 28, 2018 1:56 pm

Can't believe the prices, except for beer, everything cheaper than in Stoupa. How can they import and transport from Greece and still be cheaper?
Mind you, the weather in Stoupa (compared to England) balances it out!!

Possibly VAT plays a part in that.

After reading the "small print", it seems like most of it is made in Germany or Italy. However, talking to people in these countries also brings up the same question, still a lot cheaper in UK than Germany or Italy!! Most people I know from, or visiting, western European countries tell me that except for London housing everything is significantly cheaper in the UK (except fags).
