Older drivers

Forgive the translation (done by Google)

Copied from news article....

Last year, the then Attorney of Kalamata ordered a search for possession of driving licenses from elderly people. It specifically asked the health services to call and examine all drivers who were granted or renewed driving licenses and are over 80, especially those over 85 years of age.
Unfortunately, however, the results of this research have not been known so far, nor is it known whether it has progressed.
However, from September 1, data for older drivers is changing, since with the new KOC, older people will have to re-pass a driving license as soon as they reach their 74th birthday. In fact, they will have to pass a test of skills and behavior (as they are officially called the examinations) every three years, except for the medical certificates they produce.
In addition, drivers over the age of 80 will have to pass a baccalaureate exam every two years.
The Ministry of Transport has clarified that the elderly will have a basic driving cycle and will not give the whole exam schedule.

I wonder how much this will cost?
Then again, think of all of the extra staff that will be needed to organise and perform all of this testing, chances of it generating extra income for the state are pretty slim.
